My Idol, Jerome Polin
Jerome Polin Sijabat, or as we commonly know him, Jerome, was born on May 2, 1998. He is currently an Indonesian YouTuber, internet celebrity, and entrepreneur. My first encounter with Jerome's story was when my mother told me about a high school student in Surabaya who loved to learn. Remarkably, he would even study his textbooks while on the angkot (public transportation). I was truly impressed by his determination to make his parents proud through diligent studying and securing a scholarship to study abroad.
I deeply admire Jerome's humble and admirable character. He consistently prioritizes the happiness of others, especially his parents and family, believing that their joy brings him happiness as well.
Jerome gained recognition after launching his YouTube channel named "Nihongo Mantappu," where he shared his personal life as an Indonesian student in Japan. His content is both exciting and informative, and he often shares his experiences and advice on education.
He also has many businesses, the most famous of which is his food business called Menantea, which has very delicious menus. One of the drinks he offers is called MaTEAmatika, and I really like the potato snack and chicken with honey mustard sauce.
He also wrote a novel called "Mantappu Jiwa" which was released in 2020, and I have the book. The book is telling us about the story of Jerome's life journey to become a successful person
I have met Jerome in person at an edupassion event at SMAN 3 Bandung, and I was very impressed with him because he is actually more handsome and very tall. I was very happy to meet him, but unfortunately, due to the hectic situation at the time, I couldn't ask for his autograph. Nevertheless, I was very happy to have met him in person.
I hope to become a person like Jerome, a good person, a happy virus, humble, with good character, and also able to make my parents proud of my achievements.
